Before sharing a Pages document from your Mac, switch tracked changes to Markup, inspect each proposed edit, and accept or reject it. Then review comments, confirm whether you want any changes still pending, and choose the version you intend to send. Hiding markup with Final only changes how the document appears; it does not resolve tracked edits. Apple’s Pages guide

Show every tracked edit

Open the document in Pages and open the review controls if they are not already visible. To see the full review list, click the View button in the toolbar and choose Show Comments & Changes Pane. In the review toolbar, click the Change Tracking menu and select Markup. This view shows inserted text in a different color and deleted text with strikethrough, so you can judge what each edit changes. Markup Without Deletions hides deleted text; Final hides markup while leaving tracking active. Use Markup for the actual review. Apple documents these views and the review pane.

In the sidebar’s View Options, sort changes by page or date, filter by author, and hide or show comments and changes. Sorting by document keeps the sidebar in step as you scroll. Before concluding that there are no more edits to inspect, choose Show All or check that author filters include the changes you need to see. Apple notes that your own edits can appear in the document but be absent from the sidebar when an author filter excludes you. See Apple’s guidance on the Comments & Changes sidebar.

Decide each change, then check its context

Work through the edits in document order. For an individual change, move the pointer over the marked text and click Accept or Reject. You can also select a passage and use the review toolbar to accept or reject all tracked changes within that selected range. Read the whole sentence or paragraph around an edit before deciding: a deletion can change the meaning even when the remaining words look grammatical. The sidebar lets you navigate and review the changes alongside the document. Apple explains individual, range, and document-wide review controls.

Treat Accept All Changes and Reject All Changes as deliberate document-wide actions. Accept all keeps every proposed edit; reject all restores the document to its state before tracking began. If even one change needs judgment, inspect it individually or by passage first. Pages requires all tracked changes to be accepted or rejected before tracking can be turned off, so switching off tracking is not a way to preserve unresolved edits while removing their marks. Apple’s track-changes instructions.

Review comments separately

Comments are discussion attached to text or objects; they are separate from tracked edits. Open Comments & Changes and read each relevant comment and any replies. Resolve the underlying issue in the document if needed, and decide whether comments belong in the copy you are sharing. Hiding comments in Pages only hides them from view; it does not delete them. Apple says comments are not visible in printed documents unless the print-comments option is selected, and they can be included when exporting to PDF. Apple’s comment guide describes reviewing, hiding, and printing comments.

Choose the version and verify what the recipient will see

If the recipient needs a clean reading copy, finish accepting or rejecting edits, then inspect the document in Final view. If you need to preserve an editable review record with markup, keep the tracked changes and make sure the recipient knows how to view them. Pages on iPhone and iPad opens a received tracked document in Final View with tracking hidden; the recipient must tap Edit to see additions and deletions. If the file is shared through iCloud with tracking enabled, Apple says people using Pages for iCloud without the app can view but cannot edit it. Apple documents these recipient behavior limits.

For a useful last check, scan the document from beginning to end in the view the recipient should see. Confirm key wording, headings, and any figures or tables affected by revisions. Then save the document and share the intended format or file. A hidden-markup view is a presentation choice, so verify whether you have actually resolved edits before sending a supposedly clean copy.
