rcmd and a project window organizer can both reduce window-search time, but they start from different questions. rcmd asks which app or window you want. A project organizer asks which outcome you want to resume and then exposes its related windows.
Use rcmd for direct targets
Current rcmd materials describe right-Command plus letters for app switching, fuzzy search across apps and windows, window jumping, Space actions, and optional saved Stages. This suits users who know the app, title, or mnemonic key and want a fast global route.
Test duplicate initials, same-title windows, minimized state, Spaces, keyboard layout, Secure Keyboard Entry, and the requested Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions. Features differ between editions and versions, so verify the current build rather than older instructions.
Use project organization for outcome context
Choose a goal-based organizer when the hard part is remembering that a browser window, document, and editor belong together. The project name provides a human-curated context before window selection. It adds maintenance whenever windows change projects.
Wallo provides goals, to-dos, and assigned current windows. It does not launch arbitrary apps by mnemonic, fuzzy-search all installed apps, move Spaces, or reproduce rcmd Stages. The tools may coexist when each solves a verified, separate problem.
