A workspace launcher and a window organizer operate at different moments. A launcher resolves durable resources into apps and windows. A window organizer finds or groups windows that already exist.
Use a launcher to begin from resources
A launcher can store files, folders, URLs, and app references and open them for a project. This works after a restart because the durable resource list survives even when the old windows do not. Verify which app opens each item, whether duplicate windows are created, and whether login or document state must be restored manually.
Opening a resource does not guarantee the previous scroll position, selected tab, unsaved edit, terminal process, or screen geometry.
Use an organizer to resume live state
A window organizer helps when the needed browser, document, and editor windows are already open but hard to distinguish among other projects. Its advantage is direct return to current state; its limitation is that a closed or recreated window may no longer have the same identity.
Combine only when both moments matter
Store durable resources in one launch source and use a current-window group during active work. Do not mirror the same list in several tools. Wallo focuses on existing goal windows and local to-dos; it does not launch saved files or URLs or promise full session restoration.
