A full-screen Mac window participates in Spaces navigation. To reach it, open Mission Control and select its thumbnail in the Spaces bar, or use the configured gesture or Control-arrow shortcut to move between adjacent Spaces.
Treat full-screen windows as Spaces
A full-screen window is not merely a large desktop window. It receives its own area in the Spaces bar, while a filled or maximized window remains on an ordinary desktop. This difference explains why Command-Tab can activate an app without moving to the full-screen instance you expected.
If one app has several full-screen windows, inspect their titles or visible previews in Mission Control. Do not assume the app icon identifies the specific window.
Choose direct or sequential navigation
Use Mission Control when you know the appearance or title and want a direct selection. Use Control-Left Arrow or Control-Right Arrow, or the corresponding trackpad gesture, when the target is adjacent and the Space order is stable. Review Keyboard and Trackpad settings because shortcuts and gesture options can be changed.
Troubleshoot an unexpected destination
Check whether automatic Space rearrangement has changed the order. Confirm whether displays use separate Spaces, and determine which display owns the full-screen window. If the target is a browser tab inside a full-screen browser window, first reach the window, then use browser tab navigation.
Project groups can help identify which current window belongs to an outcome, but they do not replace macOS Space movement. Wallo does not move windows between Spaces or promise that a full-screen window remains at a fixed ordinal position.
